WHEN AND WHERE IS THE FAIR?
Our Science Committee meets throughout the year to promote science and engineering curriculum's in the Natomas Unified School District, as well as to plan the annual Science & Engineering Fair event. The next Fair will be held in 2010...exact dates and location to be announced.

WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?
All students of the Natomas Unified School Distrct are welcome to enter a project in the fair.

WHAT TYPE OF
PROJECT MAY I ENTER?

You can enter a Science or Engineering project. If it is a Science project you will develop a hypothesis with testable variables. Toward the end of your research, you'll create a display board that shows everything you have done. Engineering projects will also have a display board, but the process of engineering is to create something new or modify something that already exists, so you won't necessarily have testable hypotheses. There will be awards for Biological Science, Physical Science, and Engineering/Mathematics.

WHEN AND WHERE DO I DROP OFF MY PROJECT?
Drop off dates will be announced when the date for the 2010 Science & Engineering Fair has been scheduled.

WHEN WILL JUDGING BE DONE?
Projects will be judged by an independent panel of judges over several days just prior to the event.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
SCIENCE
AND ENGINEERING?
It's as simple as this...we have science to learn about what already exists and we have engineering to create what does NOT already exist.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?
